The school’s director Lumbani Nyasulu said the event was organised to allow the students get entertained since they are always busy with books.

“We thought of giving an opportunity to our students to  rest as you know that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,” said Nyasulu.

He added that the event also allowed the students to understand the meaning of Valentine which is showing feelings of love and making friendship.

“We are not talking about students falling in love as boyfriend or girlfriend. We are talking about the love of sharing knowledge as students, helping each other academically, among others,” he said.

In her remarks, the newly crowned Miss Valentine said self-confidence and courage are the factors that led her to emerge victorious.

“I like taking challenges and that is why I chose to take part in the competition,” she said while receiving her gifts from the school’s director.

On their part, both Assan and Mkango expressed happiness for their feat, saying the outstanding performance will compel them to participate in more competitions at the school and outside the school.

The winners received gifts such as money and hampers, among others.
