In their prayers, pastors asked for God’s intervention to stop the killings of people with albinism and road accidents.

In an interview, Dedza Pastors Fraternal secretary Pastor Moses Chikuta said the country was in need of people who could stand together in prayers against evil spirits.

He said: “As Dedza pastors, we held these prayers in unity to ask for God’s intervention. We need to take a leading role as faith leaders to win this battle.”

On his part, Dedza district commissioner Francis Matewere commended Dedza Pastors Fraternal for holding the prayers.

The country has been experiencing a spate of cases of abductions and killings of people with albinism with the latest case of a 14-year-old Goodson Makanjira, who was abducted at Kankhwani Village, Traditional Authority Chilikumwendo in the district.
