The awards were scheduled to take place in Namibia on March 20 2016, but have been postponed to a date to be announced later.

Speaking in an interview, Piksy (real name Evans Zangazanga) said the show in Mzuzu is part of the three shows he has lined up nationwide.

“The first one took place last month in Blantyre. After Mzuzu, the next stop is Chez Ntemba Night Club in Lilongwe on April 9.

“The shows are meant to drum up support for the nomination. As you know, the awards have been postponed. So, I want my fans to continue voting,” he said.

Another urban artist Maskal is expected to be part of the hip-hop line-up of artists for the show in Mzuzu.

“Apart from music performances, our fans will be privileged to watch my videos, including Moto, on a big screen. I plead for their support by patronising the event,” he said.

Piksy faces competition in the awards from Petersen of Zambia, C4 Pedro and Coreon Du from Angola, AKA (South Africa) and Gazza (Namibia).
