Pirates might decide Msowoya’s future

Struggling Flames striker Chiukepo Msowoya might next week learn if he still has a future with South Africa Premier League champions, Orlando Pirates.

In a telephone interview Wednesday from Johannesburg, Pirates public relations officer Micky Modisane said he would only be able to get the club’s position on Msowoya once in office next week.

Pirates, with whom he signed a three-year contract from Liga Maculmana in 2010, are on off-season break. For the Flames, he last scored last year in 2-2 draw in Tunisia.

Msowoya who still has some year to go on his Pirates contract did not have his loan spell extended by Platinum Stars after only managing a goal in less than 10 games, when he featured mostly as a substitute.

The burly former Escom United striker came on for Russell Mwafulirwa when Flames drew 1-1 with the Super Eagles on Saturday and hardly impressed.
