Limbe Police Bravo Division on Wednesday marched from Kanjedza to Kameza Roundabout and back.
This, the police said, was to make themselves visible to the community they serve in Blantyre and surrounding areas.

Southern Region Police Commissioner Demister Chigwenembe praised the officers for their zero tolerance to crime.

He said: “As commissioner for the South, I want to applaud the B Division for helping to curb criminal activities. I know this has been possible due to hard exercise you always undergo.
“We know challenges you go through, but with limited resources you are able to apprehend habitual perpetrators that have been giving people sleepless nights.”
Chigwenembe said police provide service to the people; hence, there is need for the public and police to work together and share information.
At least 250 officers participated in the march.

After the march, the commissioner awarded some of the officers for their outstanding performances in their various departments.
B Division Commandant Superintendent Overton Nyirenda applauded his officers for being well disciplined and their cordial relationship with police community forums wherever they work.
“These officers you see before you here, work very hard and are committed to duty. I want to commend their spouses for the support they give them; hence their good performance,” he said.

The commissioner joined the march at Yiannikis Roundabout to the B Division. 
