After almost a two-month delay, the national phase of the Presidential Cup rolls into life with a total of 15 games lined up for Saturday.

The games were supposed to be played in April, but were postponed due to the death of former president Bingu wa Mutharika and the just-ended Flames assignments in the 2014 World Cup and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The pick of the day is between defending champions Mighty Wanderers and new Super League boys Bvumbwe Research at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The fixture is the only one involving Super League teams.

One game involving Mzuzu University and Kasungu Police has been postponed because the former are involved in Tertially Students Sports games this weekend.

FAM competitions manager Casper Jangale said all is set for the round of 32.

“This week it will be a round of 32 then round of 16 the other week to be followed by quarterfinals and the other stages.

“We will be using one day of the weekend and leave the other for Super League games. We need to finish this cup as soon as possible as we also have the Standard Bank and Carlsberg cups to be played,” said Jangale

The following is the full fixture for Saturday: Epac vs Chilomoni Socials, Blue Eagles vs Hard Knockers, Blantyre United vs, Kilombero FC, Civo United vs Cobbe Barracks, City Glass vs Moyale Barracks, Green Rangers vs Escom United, Azam Tigers vs Prison United, Mafco vs Blue Eagles Youth, Sporting Leopards vs Red Lions, Zomba United vs Embangweni, Ntayamoyo FC vs Chikhwawa United, Ng’onga FC vs Big Bullets FC, Super Eagles vs Evrom.
