Prisons boss redeployed

Chief Commissioner of Prisons Kennedy Nkhoma has been redeployed to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security.

Prisons spokesperson Evance Phiri said in an interview yesterday Nkhoma will be chief director of Prison Affairs.

Commissioner of Prisons for Southern Region, Litto Mtengano, has taken over Nkhoma’s position in an acting capacity, according to government spokesperson Jappie Mhango.

However, Nkhoma on Monday expressed ignorance about the matter.
