Radiographer arrested for attempting to rape patient
Police in Mulanje have arrested a radiographer at Mulanje District Hospital for allegedly attempting to rape a woman he was examining.
Mulanje police spokesperson, James Kadadzera, said the radiographer, Kenneth Nkonongo, 28, was arrested yesterday afternoon and appeared before the Magistrate court on today where he has been granted bail.
“The woman (name withheld) went to the hospital for medical examination yesterday (Wednesday) and she alleges that Nkonongo attempted to rape her.
The matter was reported to police who then arrested Nkonongo was arrested. He spent a night in custody and today appeared before the Magistrates court where he was given bail.
Nkonongo hails from Benjamin Village, Traditional Authority Kilupula in Karonga District.
