Reunion Insurance aids Mwanza Police Station

Reunion Insurance Company Limited has given 100 reams of paper valued at K1.5 million to Mwanza Police Station to ease the police’s operations.
         
Speaking after the hand over on Friday, the insurance firm’s marketing and business development manager Miller John Joshua said they received a request from Mwanza district commissioner to assist the police as they were in urgent need of stationery.

He said the donation is also part of the insurance firm’s corporate social responsibility.

“We have an office at Mwanza Border, as such, Mwanza Police Station plays an important role in ensuring safety of our office and customers, as such, we did not hesitate to assist,” said Joshua.

Mwanza District Council director of agriculture Feston Kwezani thanked Reunion Insurance for the timely assistance.

In his remarks, Mwanza Police station officer Master Nkhoma thanked the company for the donation, saying: “I am speechless because of this donation which has come on time”.

Mwanza Police Station has five police units, namely Thambani, Kalanga, Kunenekude, Tulonkhondo and the border police station and saves 152 000 people in the district.
