Rev. Maseya laid to rest
Former CCAP Blantyre Synod moderator, the Reverend Thomas Nelson Maseya, who died on Saturday, was buried at HHI cemetery in Blantyre on Monday.
Reverend Maseya is remembered for his contribution to the voices calling for change during the transition from one party to multiparty system of government by his writings which centred on Amos 5 vs 24 that called for justice to flow like a river.
In his eulogy, Blantyre Synod general secretary Reverend Alex Maulana hailed the late Maseya for being dynamic, persevering and a guiding light in the synod when he presided over the synod as its moderator in the early 1990s.
He is survived by seven children and 10 grand children. In the picture, Maseya’s body being taken into the St. Michael and All Angels Multi-purpose Hall for the funeral service.
