Chakwera: Let’s go out there and encourage one another

Chakwera said strength of hope and perseverance among the youth was growing weary and many of them easily give up to emotions and stress.

“This is why suicide cases are increasing. Let’s go out there and encourage one another. Nowhere is it said that we must persevere. Let this nation know that God is faithful despite all our failures,” he said.

The President said Malawians need to renew their strength, adding that the world was in a situation where the strong are getting weaker and that people should not be discouraged.

“We should not view the situation which we are going through taking that God has forsaken Malawi. Let the nation have faith in God as God is always faithful,” he said.

In his welcome remarks, Assemblies of God division director for the North, Austin Tamandani, commended the President for joining the congregants at the church.

“You, coming to worship with us is a motivation to everyone and I, therefore, call upon people in various leadership positions to trust God,” he said. Former vice-president Khumbo Kachali and some leaders of Malawi Congress Party attended the church service alongside the President.
