Rock City to host Lulu tomorrow
Fun lovers in Lilongwe are set to experience something new thanks to a show R ‘n’ B artist Lulu and Mathumela Band will hold at Rock City.
In an interview, Lulu, real name Lawrence Khwisa, confirmed the show, saying music lovers in the city should expect to see another side of him.
“Mathumela Band and I are ready for the show. Actually, I have been there [Rock City] a few times watching other performances. I know I have to up my game because the place is beyond cool,” he said.
The artist said the show will accord him an opportunity to impress his old and new fans, adding that at Rock City people who do not normally frequent music shows patronise the place.
“The uniqueness of this show is that it will be held at a decent and impressive venue with a modern stage. It is an opportunity for me,” said Lulu.
One of the owners of the entertainment centre, Michael Jana, said Rock City is excited to host Lulu.
“With high quality equipment, venue and reception at Rock City, people should expect high quality sound. This is a show not to miss,” he said.
The show starts at 7pm.
Rock City is a new entertainment centre is located at Corporate Mall off Chilambula Road between Directorate of Road Traffic and Safety Services (DRTSS) offices and De Montfort University (DMI). n
