Rotary Club of Blantyre donates to QECH
The Rotary Club of Blantyre on Thursday donated ten wheelchairs, walkers and clutches to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.
Speaking after donating the items, president of the Club Omega Mulwafu said QECH is assisting patients from all over the country and beyond, hence needs support from all sectors of the society.
“We have a long standing relationship with QECH because we know by donating these items we have touched almost every Malawian,” said Mulwafu.
She also pledged the Club’s continued support to the hospital.
In her remarks, Acting Deputy Hospital Director for QECH Linley Chiwere said the donation will go a long way in reducing mobility challenges among patients.
Chiwere called on other well wishers to come forward with assistance as the hospital is facing numerous challenges.
