Fazaya reached semi-finals of the FMB Knockout Social Cricket Tournament on Sunday, thanks to a century scored by Torsif Rustam in a quarter-final match played at Mpingwe Sports Club (MSC) in Blantyre.

Rustam made an individual contribution of 101 runs to help his side earn a 163-149 runs over Anchor.

His elder brother, Aasif, made 27 runs while Javid Limdawala claimed three wickets to replenish their deserved victory.

Following their triumph, Fazaya will take on Polypack in the semi-finals at Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) on Sunday. The winner will face Kukoma in the finals next week, according to one of the competition organisers, Saeed Limdawala.

Kukoma qualified for the finals last weekend after their 181-170 runs semi-final triumph over Gold Fattani at Oriental Cricket Club (OCC).

This game also registered a century from Fattani skipper Sohel Manjra, who made an impressive individual contribution of 110 runs, including 11 long sixes.
