Sapsn secretary general Dalitso Kubalasa, who is also executive director for Malawi Economic Justice Network (Mejn), said in an interview recently that the People’s Summit from August 15 to 16—to be held on the sidelines of the Sadc heads of State summit in Zimbabwe—will remind leaders that challenges faced by the region are easy to solve if they focus on ordinary citizens’ needs when formulating national policies.

“We want to remind leaders that people’s concerns should be part and parcel of the summit,” said Kubalasa.

He said Sapsn has already courted a strengthened relationship with Sadc secretariat after meeting the regional grouping’s executive secretary Dr. Stergomana Lawrence Tax in June, 2014.
