School director arrested in Ndirande

Police in Blantyre have arrested director of Unique Private Primary School in Ndirande for obtaining money by false pretence.

 

Blantyre Police spokesperson Elizabeth Divala said the 33 year-old director Limbani Kandaya allegedly collected about K153,140 from 38 standard eight learners from his school who were expected to sit for the Primary school leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) exams.

According to Divala all the 38 learners have failed to sit for the exams which started on Wednesday and ends on Friday as Kandaya did not pay the examination fees to Maneb.

 

 He is from Masaula Village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Mlumbe in Zomba.
