Silver Strikers have summoned three players, two technical officials and supporters committee chairperson to appear before a disciplinary committee tomorrow and Sunday.

The three players are goalkeeper Alex Makina, winger Peter Pindani and striker Tony Chitsulo. One of the assistant coaches, Hellings Mwakasungula, team manager Sibusiso Padambo and main supporters committee chairperson Okalamba Katinji, have also been summoned.

The club’s chairperson Dr. McDonald Mafuta-Mwale confirmed the development on Thursday saying charges range from insubordination to bad attitude.

He also said both Mwakasungula and Padambo have been ordered not to report for training until their disciplinary issues are concluded.

“As for the players, they are free to be reporting for training, but they cannot be featured during matches until the issues are also concluded,” said Mafuta-Mwale.

But Mafuta-Mwale dismissed reports that the six had been suspended.

“They have not been suspended. An action can only be taken if they are found guilty upon the outcome of the disciplinary hearing,” he said.
