Simama League kicks off Saturday

The K2 million ($8 000) Simama Premiere League rolls into action on Saturday, the Mzuzu and Districts Football League (MDFL) has announced.

In an interview on Thursday, the league’s fixtures secretary Dominic Kambewa Msowoya said one of the first encounters will be between rookies Kawaza FC and G4 Security at Kawaza ground in Bolero, Rumphi.

Said Msowoya: “The draw was done on Monday and it has happened that newcomers Kawaza FC will host G4 Security and we expect a good show.”

Msowoya said on the same day, Mzimba United will play against Nkhata Bay Police at Chimkusa ground in Mzimba while Chindi FC of Euthini, Mzimba will start with an away fixture against KFC Globe at Kawalazi in Nkhata Bay.

He warned that any team failing to fulfil an assignment or that which gets involved in violence will be fined and also lose points.
