Supporters’ chair salutes Nomads family

Mighty Be Forward Wanderers main supporter’s committee chairperson Dinesi Chitsulo has attributed the team’s Carlsberg Cup success to good team spirit among the Nomads’ family.

The Nomads beat their age-old rivals Big Bullets 2-1 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on August 29 to snatch the cup away from them.

In particular, the youthful Wanderers top fan paid tribute to the trustees for advocating unity, the players for waking up from their deep slumber and the executive committee for putting in place a strong squad.

“There have been no internal squabbles and for this I would like to commend the trustees and the executive committee which also built a good team and put in place a strong technical panel.

“Special mention also goes to my fellow supporters because even when the team appeared to be losing its way, they did not lose their patience and in the end, they were rewarded for their faith,” said Chitsulo.

However, the Nomads’ supporters head had a word of caution, saying: “We should not get carried away by the Carlsberg Cup success only, but also thrive to do well in other competitions.”
