At MSC, White made it after convincingly seeing off Indian Sports Club (ISC) by 52 runs. They made 197 runs in 20 overs before ISC got all out in 145 runs. The other quarterfinal saw MSC Gold booting out MSC Silver. Silver batted first to make 102 runs all-out but Gold made those runs in 19 overs.

At OCC, Grey outclassed hosts OCC by 18 runs after making 125 runs against 107. Orange completed the semifinal list with a triumph over MSC Yellow as they made 154 runs in 20 overs against Yellow’s 113 all-out.

“This means White have set up a semifinal tie against Gold at ISC next Sunday while Orange and Grey will face off at MSC. All these games will be played in the morning,” the tournament’s chairperson Shiraz Zaveri said.

According to him, winners of the semifinals will battle for ultimate glory in the finals at the MSC in the afternoon of the same day.

Meanwhile, Royal Motors Limited has donated kits to the umpires that will officiate the semifinals and the finals.

When making a symbolic presentation of the uniform to Zaveri on Sunday, Royal Motors manager Arafat Mahomed said they decided to help after being impressed with the good organisation of the competition and he promised more support.n
