Three Nollywood stars to tour Malawi

Three Nollywood actors will tour Malawi in July for the Malawi premiere of their latest movie, The Cobra, at the M Cinema in Lilongwe.

The Nollywood actors that star in The Cobra are Frederick Leonard, Chinwe Isaac, Chidi Mokeme, Segun Arinze, Alex Usifo, and Blossom Chukwujekwu.

However, according to M Cinema officials, only Usifo, Isaac and Leonard together with the movie producer, Andy Boyo will come to Malawi on July 4.

“We are premiering The Cobra at M Cinema in Lilongwe on July 5 and as usual we are bringing some of the actors featured in the movie,” explained Cinema manager Mercy Madasu.

The Cobra follows the title character who is employed by Princess Hilda and her husband to help pay a ransom in gold coins worth one million dollars for the release of their kidnapped daughter by Chief Ashinowo and his cohorts. However the exchange process went bad when Chief Ashonowo shoots Cobra and gets him arrested.

Now, with Cobra out of prison he is looking to have his revenge on the man who sent him there in the first place. The problem is that Ashonowo is now a public office holder (a senator) and more difficult to get close to.
