MultiChoice Malawi and TNM, one of the country’s mobile phone companies, on Tuesday sealed an agreement with Gotv subscribers to enable them use TNM Mpamba to pay for subscription.

Speaking at the event, sales and marketing manager for MultiChoice Malawi Chimwemwe Nyirenda said Gotv was designed to be a do-it-yourself product and the partnership with TNM has made that possible.

“Gotv subscribers will not have to walk distances to pay for their subscription, they can just do it on their phones,” he said.

On his part, TNM head of marketing Sobhuza Ngwenya said the aim of TNM Mpamba, a mobile money platform, is to make life of Malawians easy and MultiChoice is just one of the partners that has made that dream a reality.

“We do not want our subscribers to be queuing to get access to some of the services that can otherwise be provided by mobile money,” said Ngwenya.

Both Gotv and TNM Mpamba were launched last year.
