Watch out for the Best of Mlaka Maliro

Graduation of long time singer MacDonald Mlaka Maliro from secular to gospel music continues to bring good news to gospel lovers in the country.

Just weeks after launching his first gospel album-Hossana, the artist has announced that due to public demand he is set to release ‘The Best of Mlaka Maliro’.

“People are still enjoying my gospel tracks in my previous albums. In all the two music shows I have held since joining gospel music recently, my fans have demanded more gospel tracks from the albums and they are saying they want them in a CD.

“I will single out all best gospel tracks from my nine albums Dzanja la Lemba to Pamudzi Pano and if God blesses me more, the CD will come together with its DVD. That is what I am planning to do as a token of appreciation to my fans for their support,” says the born again music star.

Mlaka says he has already recruited new dancers and the objective is to give his fans lively shows during stage performances.

Mlaka, being the first artist to sale over 100 000 copies with his Maloto album, says he has brought in a pack of new things to cover gaps that for a long time were left open in gospel music.

“I have come with a local tune and dancing style for gospel music,” he states.

This will be the first time for the Zembani Band product to compile a CD carrying best tracks from his previous releases. He has nine secular albums and each carries some gospel tracks.

However, despite concentrating on secular music, the star made his name with gospel tracks. Among them are title track Dzanja la Lemba, Abraham and Landitsani Moyo.
