We won’t underrate CZ United—Nomads

Mighty Wanderers have said they cannot afford the luxury of underrating Chiradzulu United whom they face in a Presidential Cup tie this afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The Nomads were the first team to win the Presidential showpiece in 2009 and the only team to have won it twice.

Team manager Chiyembekezo Zidana said caution will be the order of the day.

“Of course, the preparations have been normal just like for any other game and we are ready,” said Zidana.

The Nomads will, however, be without three key players namely Kondwani Lufeyo [injured], Innocent ‘Rooney’ Dzimbiri and Bongani Kaipa [both serving yellow card suspensions].

But Zidana played down their absence saying it will give a chance to other upcoming players.

The Nomads youth side will curtain-raise their senior team’s game when they face Chinamwali.

The Nomads youth coach Safarao Pompi said they are also looking forward to reaching the next round.
