Malawi First Lady Gertrude Mutharika has asked women to love one another and desist from jealousy.
Mutharika was speaking on Friday at St Louis Montfort Parish of the Catholic Church in Balaka during the Women’s World Day of Prayer (WDP) attended by over a thousand women from various Christian denominations.

WDP is a worldwide movement for Christian women of different denominations who come together to observe a common day of prayer.
It is celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday of March.
Local organising committee chairperson Regina Phanga said the money realised from the function will go towards flood victims across the country as well as towards cheering the sick and prisoners at Zomba Central Hospital and Zomba Maximum Prison.
