Yet another BB trustee quits

Listen to this article

Nyasa Big Bullets FC trustees vice-chairperson Fred Kwacha has become the third board member to quit within the week.

The first to throw in the towel was chairperson James Busilley on Monday and he was followed by Gregory Madeya the following day.

Kwacha: I no longer have the enthusiasm

Kwacha said he feels he has contributed enough to the club and it is time he paved the way for others.

“I am ageing and I no longer have the enthusiasm I had and when it reaches that point, the best thing is to take a bow.

“I have already informed my fellow trustees about my decision,” he said.

However, trustees secretary Jim Kalua refused to comment on the issue yesterday.

“[I] have no reaction. [Maybe] talk to [supporters committee chairperson] Stone Mwamadi,” he said.

On his part, Mwamadi said he was yet to be informed about Kwacha’s resignation.

“The problem is that they are resigning through the media. Anyway, we will wait for official communication before reacting to the spate of resignations,” he said.

The resignations come in the wake of differences within the People’s Team camp over the direction the team should take regarding administration.
