Young Sisters top Northern Region Netball League

Mzuzu City netball select Young Sisters are leading the table in the ongoing Presidential Netball Trophy currently in week four.

Young Sisters have won all their five games to collect 10 points.

Moyale Sisters are on second with eight points.

Mimosa Queens are on position three having won four games but have an inferior goal aggregate.

Twelve teams are participating in the tournament within the region.

Young Sisters beat Moyale Sisters, Mimosa, Sungawana and Super Queens before thrashing Botanic Sisters by 53-1 in a Wednesday fixture to claim the lead.

Young Sister Coach Jean Kachali said although they are currently leading the table their focus will be to beat all teams on their way to scoop the national championship.

“Although we are going through financial challenges, we are still doing well. It is our vision that we beat all the teams and gain the championship,” said Kachali.
