South Africa-based Malawian singer Zani Challe is in the country to promote her latest single Ndiphunzitse.

This is her first 2015 release and her second after Gwada, which she featured South African rappers Okmalumkoolkat and Ras.

Ndiphunzitse is largely done in Chichewa and was entirely produced in Malawi by Sticky Beatz and Percy Manyozo at Pro Pee Records in Blantyre.

“Ndiphundzitse is a love song that really just talks of how for a relationship to work and love to continue growing. In a relationship, couples need to put in effort and really know each other,” said the artist in an interview.

Ndiphunzitse video, produced by Sukez, will be out next month.

“I have the Gwada video out and my second video is due for release on the 5th June. Aside that, I am here to establish myself and build a fan base in my home country. It is important for every artist to have a solid base where they are coming from,” said the 26-year-old who is also an actress and model in South Africa.

Born Zani Michelle Chiumia to Malawian parents in Cape Town, Zani lived all through her high school years in Malawi before she went to the rainbow nation at the age of 18. She has since established herself in the showbiz industry as a singer, actress, model, TV presenter, lyricist and recording artist.

“So, I will be performing on June 5 at Basement in Blantyre and the following day I will be at Red Carpet in Lilongwe before an appearance at Chez Ntemba on the same night. I will also be performing at the Hip hop winter event at Robin’s Park on the 13th June,” she said.

She boasts of having her music played on Channel O as her highlight since launching her music career in South Africa in 2010.
