Recently, Girl Effect, the organisers who came up with the concept, have been engaging in road shows nationwide together with their newly formed band, Zathu Band, that is expected to be releasing songs, and has since released a video for their theme song ‘Zimatere’.

The characters that are in the drama are the ones that have formed the Zathu Band that is fusing a distinctly Malawian sound with modern rhythms, and the band is  expected to make several performances nationwide.

The show will have youthful presenters, Lily Banda and Dj Goxy as it is targeting the youth, playing music and giving boys and girls a chance to hear from their peers and role models on a wide range of topics.

The band has also collaborated with local artist, Faith Mussa, who writes and produces the songs.

According to Girl Effect, the show seeks to inspire a new generation to forge a more equal nation where every young person can thrive.

The youth radio show was officially launched on Friday in Lilongwe with electrifying performances by Zathu Band, Faith Mussa, Sangie, Rina and KBG.
