Youngster takes battle to veterans in Chiradzulu Central
Twenty-seven-year-old Chimwemwe Kachingwe joined a pool of 13 candidates who are contesting in Chiradzulu Central Constituency parliamentary seat. Kachingwe, who is running as an independent, surprised many by pulling a large crowd during her campaign launch at Nguludi Mission on Sunday with Mr. Jokes joining the group of entertainers at the launch. A Polytechnic graduate in business administration, Kachingwe promised to improve agriculture, health and transport sectors, among others, in the constituency. She also launched a K2 million (US$4 914) trophy to be contested in five zones of PIM, Maravi, Nguludi, St Michaels and Yasin.
