Anglicans to re-dedicate St Matthew’s Church
Members of St Matthew’s Anglican Church in Blantyre will re-dedicate and officially open their Maselema prayer house onApril 27 this year, marking the end of the extension project that began in 2010.
The events director of publicity, Anthony Kasunda, said President Joyce Banda is among well-wishers who contributed resources towards the project.
“The President used to be our guest of honour during Paper Sundays organised to raise funds for the construction of this church,” said Kasunda.
He said the recently consecrated bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Southern Malawi Canon Alinafe Kalemba will lead over 500 delegates in the re-dedication and official opening of the new prayer house.
Kasunda said the project cost over K50 million.
