Yesterday’s match was a balanced affair as both Moyale and Silver Strikers failed to score from a number of scoring chances they created.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Silver coach Peter Mponda described the result as fair.

“It was a balanced affair. We gave our best just like our opponent and in the end we managed to force a draw. We thank supporters for being with us and we will continue to work hard because the battle for glory is not yet over,” he said.

On the other hand, Moyale coach Pritchard Mwansa said they played well, particularly in the first half but luck was not on their side.

“It was a good game, we played well, particularly in the first half but we were not lucky enough to get goals. We will work hard in the second round to get more wins,” he said.

The soldiers are stuck on fifth position with 22 points from 15 games.

Second-placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have 25 points with a game at hand while Mzuzu City Hammers are third with 24 points, also with a game in hand.

Rookies Baka City with seven points from 14 games anchor the table and second from bottom are Chitipa United with nine points from 14 games.
