Nomads held
Mighty Wanderers yesterday failed to displace leaders FCB Nyasa Bullets at the summit of the TNM Super League following a one-all draw against Karonga United at Karonga Stadium.
The Nomads scored first through Gaddie Chirwa, who connected a Wisdom Mpinganjira corner kick in the 28th minute.
But things turned sour for the visitors just before recess when Peter Cholopi conceded a penalty and was shown a red card following a foul on Zikani Mponda.

From the spot, Alfred Chizinga levelled in the 41st minute.
The result means the Nomads remain unbeaten and are second with 23 points from nine games, a point behind Bullets.
Karonga have moved up to fifth from position six with 16 points from nine games as well.
In a post-match interview, Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira said the draw was not bad.
“It was a tough game but still more we played well. We dominated the entire game.
“It is not bad on our part, playing away with one player sent off and drawing,” he said.
Kaunda equally described the results as fair.
“Getting a point from a big team like Wanderers is not bad,” he said.
In another Super League match at Rumphi Stadium, Mzuzu City Hammers drew 0-0 against Chitipa United.
