Illusionz reopens with promise of more fun
Illusionz, a Lilongwe-based entertainment house is back in business after a month-long closure for renovations with management outlining more international and local performances at the venue.
The outfit’s marketing executive Nathan Mwale said in an interview on Monday that as the venue reopens, they will continue to bring international acts and also provide a platform for Malawian performers.
“We are back and ready for more. More international artists will come and more details will be shared with fans,” he said.

Illusionz resumed activities on Friday with South African amapiano musician Young Stunna headlining the show.
The Adiwele hitmaker made his second appearance in Malawi, alongside Blantyre-based musician Fada Moti, delivered a high-energy performance that drew a capacity crowd.
A fan, Janet Silika, who attended the Friday show, commended the new look venue, saying it added to the overall experience during the show.
“I enjoyed Young Stunna’s performance and the new look at Illusionz made it even better,” she said.
On Sunday night, Nkosazana Daughter, another South African artist, followed with another event. The Dali Nguwe star, who arrived in Lilongwe earlier the same day, shared the stage with Malawian artist Saint Realest.
The weekend activities continued with a performance by local amapiano star Zeze Kingston on Monday who closed the four-day run marking Illusionz’s return.
