Jehovah’s Witnesses to host Lord’s Evening Meal event

Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will host their annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal on Thursday, April 2, 2026, and have invited the public to attend.

The event will feature a Bible talk focusing on the teachings of Jesus Christ and their significance for mankind’s future.

Southern Region spokesperson Amos Chirwa said the observance, marked for nearly 2,000 years, offers hope to attendees.

The hour-long event will take place in Kingdom Halls across more than 1,000 congregations in Malawi and over 118,000 worldwide.

Organisers said last year’s commemoration attracted nearly 400,000 people locally and over 20 million globally.

The meeting will address key questions, including the meaning of Jesus’ death and who benefits from his sacrifice.
