NPM to bring Malawi’s biggest business shopping experience to BICC on November 28

Consumers looking for the best deals ahead of the festive season will have a major date to mark on their calendars as National Product Magazine (NPM) hosts its Business Show and Year-End Awards Gala on November 28, 2026 at the Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.

The event promises to bring business, shopping, entertainment and glamour under one roof, giving consumers a rare opportunity to meet manufacturers and suppliers directly, explore a wide range of products and take advantage of special offers.

Unlike an ordinary exhibition, the NPM Business Show has been designed as a consumer-focused marketplace, where more than 70 manufacturing and business companies will showcase their products and services.

NPM Chief Executive Officer Arthur Chinyamula said the 2026 edition has been deliberately designed to give consumers value while creating a powerful platform for businesses to connect directly with their customers.

«“This year is different. We are bringing manufacturers closer to the consumer. People will have an opportunity to view, compare and buy products directly from companies, with special festive-season offers,” Chinyamula said.»

The Business Show will run from 7:30am to 4pm, giving shoppers plenty of time to explore different exhibitors and prepare for the festive season.

Visitors can expect a wide range of products, including groceries, beverages, building materials, household products, agricultural inputs, furniture, fashion, vehicles, mobile phones and other essential goods.

For consumers, the event offers an opportunity to shop, discover new products, meet brands and potentially save money by buying closer to the source.

For participating companies, the show provides a unique opportunity to launch products, showcase their brands, meet thousands of potential customers and drive end-of-year sales.

But the excitement will not end when the shopping closes.

The day will transition into a glamorous NPM Year-End Awards Gala, bringing together captains of industry, business leaders, government officials, entrepreneurs and other distinguished guests for an evening of recognition and celebration.

The gala will feature dinner, live entertainment, a spectacular red carpet, business networking and the presentation of prestigious awards recognising outstanding companies, products, manufacturers and business personalities.

Chinyamula said guests should expect an evening filled with “glitz, glamour and excellence.”

«“We want people to come in the morning, shop, support local businesses and enjoy the Business Show, then come back in the evening for a night of celebration, networking and recognition,” he said.»

The NPM Year-End Awards have grown into an important platform for celebrating Malawi’s business excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship and outstanding products.

This year’s event is expected to attract a strong mix of businesses and consumers, making November 28 a day not to miss for anyone who wants to shop, network, discover, celebrate and experience the best of Malawi’s business community.

With the festive season approaching, consumers are being encouraged to come early, explore the stalls and take advantage of the special offers available at the show.

One day. One venue. Hundreds of products, brands and opportunities.

November 28 at BICC — come and experience the NPM Business Show, then dress to impress for the Year-End Awards Gala.

Don’t just hear about it. Be there.
