Airtel parties with social media users

Leading telecommunications provider Airtel Malawi over the weekend threw a party for its customers who use different social media platforms.

About 300 Airtel customers drawn from social media platforms such as Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter, from Lilongwe partied at the Silver Stadium with musicians Gwamba, Wendy Harawa, Piksy and Zambia’s Orga Family.

“We have been growing a lot of likes; if you look at our Facebook page currently we have over 200 000 fans and we wanted to grow more likes and we thought we should say thank you just like a courtesy call to them. We just invited any random person that liked our Facebook page meaning, all those that attended the party are either using one of the three,” said Sibusiso Nyasulu, Airtel Malawi’s customer service director.

She said the mobile’s customers in other parts of the country should expect such parties.

“Mzuzu, Zomba and Blantyre just watch the space as we are planning for more and definitely we will be in your area soon,” she said.
