APM finds ‘a good thing’ again
Malawi President Peter Mutharika and Gertrude Maseko were on Saturday declared husband and wife after they took wedding vows at CCAP’s St Michaels and All Angels in Blantyre.
The couple, at 10:42 am, promised each other before the congregation and God to love eac h other, remain faithful and dutiful husband and wife until God separate them by death.
Reverend Rabson Chimkwezule wedded the two after no one raised any objection.
At 10:45 am, the couple exchanged blessed rings and put them on each other to seal their vows.
Vice president Saulos Chilima, MCP president Lazarus Chakwera, leaders of different churches, Cabinet ministers among others witnessed the event that lasted close to two hours in a tiny church house.
Cabinet ministers Henry Mussa and George Chaponda and legislator Patricia Kaliati were part of the 20-plus bridal party.
