Big Bullets set about their trip to the Comoros tomorrow evening for next Sunday’s CAF Champions League preliminary round first-leg tie against Fomboni.

Bullets general secretary Harold Fote said they will leave the country by road in the evening for Dar es Salaam where they will catch a flight to the Comoros on Tuesday.

Bullets_celebrate“We have hired a 30-seater minibus and we will depart immediately after the mini-tournament and we expect to reach Tanzania’s Songwe border on Monday morning and then arrive in Dar es Salaam at around 8pm.

Bullets have organised a four-team two-day mini tournament, which starts today at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Fote said all travel bookings to the Comoros as well as accommodation, have been finalised.

However, it is not all rosy in the Bullets camp as of yesterday they were still battling to have passports for a number of their players.

According to technical director Billy Tewesa, those that were yet to get passports were Ian Chinyama, Mussa Manyenje, Chimwemwe Kunkwawa and assistant coach Lloyd Nkhwazi.

“And that is making it difficult to name our final travelling squad,” said Tewesa.

Meanwhile, Fote has said a Fifa-licensed match agent has offered to arrange an international friendly match against Tanzanian giants Young Africans on their way back from Comoros.

“If all goes well, we plan to have the match on Wednesday in Dar es Salaam enroute home,” he said.  n
