Chipiku Stores Leagueready to roll into life

 The K19.8 million Chipiku Stores Central Region Football Association (CRFA) Premiership Division will be launched today with hosts Dzaleka Future FC taking on former TNM Super League side Blue Eagles at Dowa Community Centre ground .

Central Region Football Association (CRFA) general secretary Antonio Manda said the launch will commence with a parade of the trophy around the community.

He said: “We are very much prepared for the event and there are quite a number of activities that will take place.

The trophy: Ready to be relaunched this afternoon

“We are expecting a lot of people to come and patronise the launch.”

Chipiku Stores spokesperson Brown Mkangama said they are anticipating stiff competition following the increase in sponsorship.

Chipiku Stores has increased the sponsorship from last season’s K16.5 million to K19.8 million.

“We are also looking forward to a free from violence session and very competitive one,” said Mkangama.

Dzaleka Future FC official Precious Munthali said they are geared to take on Blue Eagles in the opener.

The Premier Division has 24 teams divided into three groups of eight teams.

Four top teams in each group qualify for the last 12 play-offs after playing home and away.

Group A has, Santhe Admarc FC, Namitete Zitha FC, Mchinji Boma Stars, Villa FC, Simbi FC, Extreme FC, Mbabzi United and Kamuzu Barracks Reserves.

Group B has Kasungu United, Wimbe United, Chisomo Academy FC, Chatoloma Admarc FC, Dwangwa United, Dzaleka Future FC, Support Battalion FC and Blue Eagles FC

Group C has, Ekas Freight Wanderers, Luanar FC, Mitundu Baptist FC, Mangoni Warriors FC, Silver Strikers Reserves FC, Dedza Young Soccer, Airborne Rangers FC and Leyman Panthers FC.
