Bullets expect hostile 2nd leg

FCB Nyasa Bullets coach Kallisto Pasuwa says he expects a tough encounter and an intimidating atmosphere in the CAF Champions League preliminary round return leg against Red Arrows in Lusaka, Zambia this Saturday.

The People’s Team displayed strong character to come from behind to beat the Zambia Defence Force side 2-1 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Sunday.

Pasuwa: It is going to be tough

But Pasuwa said: “It is going to be a very tough outing. They [Arrows] are tough opponents at home, but we have plan B.

“[And] we need to prepare our boys psychologically for the hostile environment.”

He, however, said the solace is that most of his players are now used to playing in such environments.

“We saw the same thing against TP Mazembe where in 20 minutes, we were 4-0 down. So, we’ll need to be prepared.”

Meanwhile, his Arrows counterpart Chisi Mudaala Mbewe was quoted on his club’s Facebook page as having said that they have switched focus to the second leg.

He said: “We are down of course, but it’s not over yet.

“We will seal all loopholes ahead of the second leg.”

Arrows chief executive officer Lieutenant Colonel Kambani Lungu said they will work to recover and post a better result.

“We had a bad day in the first leg, but I wish to assure our fans that the team is intact and we will undo the setback in the second leg,” he said.
