Bullets players demand allowance increase
Big Bullets players have demanded an increase on their allowances for their CAF Champions League preliminary first-round match against Fomboni in the Comoros next Saturday.
The team offered the players 250 dollars (K120 000 each) for their week-long sojourn ahead of the encounter, but the 17 players want twice as much.
“This is a trip that requires better allowances. We have, therefore, agreed to ask for an increase from 250 dollars to 500 dollars each. We trust that our administrators will hear our cry,” said team captain Fischer Kondowe.
Reacting to the development, Bullets general secretary Harold Fote, who has also made the trip, said they will consider the request although they are operating on a thin budget.
“We will see how we can deal with the matter. However, the players should be assured that their request will be considered,” said Fote.
