Busy signal hails Malawi’s audience, reggae

Jamaican Dancehall reggae artist Busy Signal has left Malawi with fond memories of how the audience at this year’s Sand Festival gave him the energy to have what he termed as “one of the best moments of my life”.

For about two hours thirty minutes, the superstar rocked the stage at this year’s festival in a performance dubbed by some fans as a “lifetime experience.”
In an interview soon after the show, the dancehall star reiterated what he had said earlier on while performing that: “Malawians are amazing people. I enjoyed every moment of it in the Warm Heart of Africa.
“Trust me, it would have been different if the fans were not excited as they were. One thing I will live to remember about my trip to Malawi is the energy from the people. Even if Busy was tired, it could not show.”
He also hailed Malawian reggae music saying it has the potential to reach the standards of Jamaica.
They were meant to wrap-up the show, but they store the limelight at Sand Festival at the weekend.
They say the show is not over until Lucky Stars perform.
And they showed just why with a performance befitting their legendary status.
