Chilinde Parish donates to retired sisters

Members of Chilinde Catholic Parish (St Maria Goretti Community) in Lilongwe on Sunday last week donated assorted items worth K160 000 to retired Catholic sisters at Mlale Mission.

Chairperson of the community Abel Nyasulu said they chose to donate the items as one way of appreciating the good job the sisters have done during their service in different parishes.

Nyasulu said: “The services of these retired sisters have benefited the church in many ways, therefore, there is need to say thanks to them by sharing with hem what we have.”

The treasurer of the community Eness Kwalira said church members contributed money for the donation.
