Chinese Embassy gives film crew 2nd chance

The Chinese Embassy has offered a second chance to Zomba Film Production Crew (ZPC) who missed an opportunity to perform at the Sichuan TV Festival in November this year due to delays in processing passports.

According to ZPC director Neva Matewere, the embassy has accorded them a fully sponsored trip to Beijing, China, next month.

“This is the greatest opportunity for us since we failed to go to China in November… It will give us exposure to interact and produce films with successful filmmakers in China,” said Matewere on Tuesday.

In Beijing, they will spend two months learning film acting, shooting and editing.

They also envision bringing home modern equipment to benefit the local film industry.

“We appreciate our relationship with the Chinese and wish local companies joined in,” he said.
