The Church of Pentecost says Christians should continue to embrace the life Jesus Christ lived while on earth by helping those in need.

Speaking after donating food items in Chiradzulu and Machinga, national protocols officer in the church Davie Kaiya said so many people are facing a lot of problems, hence, the need for Christians to help.

“As the President continues to distribute maize flour, we feel we need to support her in the cause and also help in the distribution. We know there are a lot of people who are facing hunger and we want to help.

“We have been to Chiradzulu and Machinga, and we will be going to Mwanza. During this period, we want to show that festivities are all about sharing,” he said.

Kaiya said the church has so far donated to over 250 homes.

“We feel that donating maize flour is one of the ways we can show that we care. This is not just for now, we will continue this spirit. As a church, this is one of the obligations our Lord Jesus left to us and we are living up to it,” he said.
