Christo, Tricks make it to Chill DJ Battle finals
DJ Christo outshined five other contestants in the competition as he displayed his prowess and ingenuity on the turntables Friday night at Blue Elephant.
There was no match for his technical skills as he blended the songs and scratched the songs with precision. His song selection was on point, and the variety on his playlist made fifteen minutes session which was assigned to each DJ look shorter.
The charisma in his performance provoked the loudest chants from the audience calling out his name.
Runner-up was DJ Tricks who also gave a good performance, and closing the list of finalists from Southern Region in the competition.
The K600 000 (US$1 459.9) dream ended for DJ Wayne, DJ Fresh, DJ F1 Kenny Clips and DJ Madball.
DJ Christo and DJ Tricks will battle with DJ Maya and DJ Patricks from Central and DJ Ernie and DJ Mwini from the North on a date and venue yet to be announced.
The winner of the competition will walk away with K600 000 and an all-paid-for trip to South Africa where he will be hosted by Oskido.
