Fans should expect more sunset sessions where live music, poetry, literature and comedy will be coming face to face as the build for the City of Stars festival continues.

That’s the message coming from Will Jameson, founder of the Lake of Stars (LOS) annual festival who is this year holding te 10th celebratory event for LOS dubbed City of Stars.

“Judging from the success of today’s (Sunday) show at the Golden Peacock Hotel rooftop, sunset session as evidenced by the response in terms of the turn up and a good mix of people which included children, the old, experts and members of the diplomatic corps, we will be holding more of these events before main festival.

“We will have three more and we are making plans to continue holding the sessions even after the City of Stars. The first one was about poetry and live acoustic music but in the future sunset sessions we will also bring in comedy and literature,” explained Jameson.

Apart from the sunset sessions which will continuously going to be holding at the rooftop just to bring a new touch of venue, City of Stars will also hold more arts forums as well as plenty exciting events.

Said Jameson: “We have and plan to hold several events just to sell City of Stars more to the people. For instance, we are looking at holding an event aboard a train from Lilongwe to Salima with a number of performances”.

Among others, poets Q Malewezi, Yolanda Kaluma and Patrick Garety and musicians Jaco Jana, Menes, Sirius and David Kalirani performed at the sunset sessions.
