Creccom donates goats, bicycles to Mchinji community

The Creative Centre for Community Mobilisation (Creccom) recently donated bicycles to 20 gender activists in Traditional Authority Kapondo in Mchinji. On the same day, Creccom donated 100 goats to 20 women of Chapakama Village as part of the organisation’s Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (Gewe) project funded by the UNFPA. Creccom executive director Gorge Jobe said the bicycles will ease mobility for gender activists.—Singayazi Kaminjolo

Snr Chief Kawinga dead

Senior Chief Kawinga of Machinga died Tuesday at Mwaiwathu Hospital after a long illness. Machinga district commissioner Stuart Ngoka confirmed the news. Funeral arrangements were not yet available as we went to press on Tuesday.—Edwin Nyirongo
