Urban artist Desert Eagle has released a single off his up-and-coming album African Star.

Titled Spin The Bottle, the single marks a new journey that the artist is set to undertake this year as he currently records his fourth album.

Born in Ghana and made in Malawi, Desert Eagle, a producer, songwriter and rapper began his career in the early 2000s where he released his debut album Brocken Silence.

“The album created a major buzz on the Malawi music scene and since then Desert Eagle has grown as an artist in the industry. In 2006 he rose further with the production of the hit single Mtofu with Kenny Klips that topped the local music charts and set the trend for a new style of music production in Malawi,” said Wezi Mzumara of Kwanza PR, who are managing the artist.

Apart from Klips, Desert Eagle, real name Eriq Duce, has worked with some of the internationally recognized Malawian artist over the last few years including Young Kay, Marko Sadik, Maskal and many more.

“With three albums currently under his name and the fourth on its way, 2014 is tipped to be a great year for Desert Eagle as an artist. Now based between Ghana and Malawi is working on his new album African Star set for release later this year, featuring the likes of Ghana’s OJ Blaq, Selasi (African Kid) and Malawi’s Young Kay,” explained Mzumara.

African Star, the album has an eclectic mix Afro-hip hop, Afro-pop and contemporary dancehall/reggae.
